Evening Land, known for compelling, terroir-driven Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays, soared to new heights in the superb 2012 vintage, producing Oregon’s highest-scoring wine to date. This 2012 comes from a section of the Seven Springs Vineyard called La Source, planted on shallow volcanic soils; consultant Dominique Lafon helped identify the unique geology of the site. Isabelle Meunier vinified the wines through 2013. Sashi Moorman and Rajat Parr selected the final blend, which achieves depth, precision and vibrancy in a ripe vintage.

Tasting Note

Seductive, silky and supple, this red layers its gorgeous currant, plum, blueberry and spice flavors on a lithe frame, coming together harmoniously on the long, expressive finish. Drink now through 2022.—Harvey Steiman
