Kosta Browne Pinot Noir
Sonoma Coast 2007
95 points / $52 3,069 cases made California
Few people have made as big an impact on the California wine scene in so short a time as Dan Kosta and Michael Browne. Founded in 1997, Kosta Browne has gone from strength to strength, releasing its best Pinot Noirs in the past four vintages. Kosta Browne made 11,000 cases of 2007 Pinot, split among nine bottlings, most of them single-vineyard wines. The Sonoma Coast (one of two broader, appellation bottlings) is sourced from four vineyards, including Kanzler and Gap's Crown. Chris Costello is managing director.
